Keyboard Shortcuts for Ubuntu

Keyboard Shortcuts for UbuntuLauncher Shortcuts

  1. Super(hold)  - Opens the launcher, displays shortcuts. 
  2. Alt+F1 - Opens Launcher keyboard navigation mode.
  3. Super+Tab - Switches applications via the launcher. 
  4. Super+1 to 9 - Same as clicking on a launcher icon. 
  5. Super+Shift+1 to 9 - Opens a new window in the app.
  6. Super + T - Opens the trash. 

HUD & Menu Bar

  1. Alt (Tap) - Opens the HUD. 
  2. Alt (Hold) - Opens the indicator menu. 
  3. Alt + F10 - Opens indicator menu. 
  4. Cursor left or right - Moves focus between indicators. 

Switching

  1. Alt+Tab - Switches between applications.
  2. Alt+ ' - Switches windows of current applications. 
  3. Cursor left or right - Moves the focus. 

Dash

  1. Super(tap) - Open the dash home. 
  2. Super +A - Opens the dash app lens. 
  3. Super + F - Opens the dash files lens. 
  4. Super + M - Opens the Dash music lens. 
  5. Super + C - Opens the dash photo lens.
  6. Super + V - Opens the dash video lens. 
  7. Ctrl+Tab - Switches between lense.
  8. Arrow keys - Moves the focus. 
  9. Enter - Opens the currently focused item. 

Windows

  1. Super+W - Spreads all windows.
  2. Ctrl+Super+D - Minimise all windows. 
  3. Ctrl+Super+Up - Maximise the current windows.
  4. Ctrl+Super+Down - Restore or minimise the current window. 
  5. Ctrl+Super+Left or RIght - Semi- Maximise the current window.
  6. Alt+F4 - Close the current window. 
  7. Alt + Space - Opens the window accessibility menu. 
  8. Ctr+Alt + Num (keypad) - Place the window in corresponding position.
  9. Alt+Left Mouse drag - Moves the window. 
  10. Alt+ Middle Mouse drag - Resizes the window.
